What are terms and conditions for?
Terms and conditions ensure customers know how we work and what we do. All customers must read through our terms and conditions sheet and sign it before we take on any orders. Our terms and conditions are also clearly explained verbally to you on your appointment. Terms and conditions protects not only the customer but also our business and by you agreeing to sign our terms and conditions sheet means its a legal contract between our customer and our business.
What we do
Carolyn Anne’s Bridal sells wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses and accessories and we are the designers and not dressmakers. We have our own dressmakers and designers who work for us and all of our dresses are made brand new.
How we measure
Due to us not being the dressmakers we do not provide you with a wedding or bridesmaid dress on a "Made to measure" basis. We will take your measurement of bust, waist, hips and height at the time of the order and compare against our dressmakers standard dress size chart. When your dress arrives you will need alterations for perfect fit, we take no responability for any size or measurement changes that occur after we order your dress.
Keeping an open mind when customising
We offer a custom service for our dresses and give you the opportunity to have your own Unique design made but please be 100 % sure when ordering a custom dress you have not seen in the flesh as we do not offer refunds for change of mind on a style thats been made for you or not liking a custom dress once its been made for you. Our dressmakers will make your dress to the best way it has been described to them.
When your dress arrives, you will come for your fitting so you can see your dress for the first time and try it on. This is the time for you to say if you are happy with everything we have provided for you and this is the time to say if you are not. Once you have left our bridal shop, we are no longer responsible for any issues regarding your dress.
We will give you a recommended seamstresses details so you can contact her directly for your alterations. We cannot guarantee that the seamstress will be able to fit you in if you have left it too late to book (please allow 16 weeks on normal lead times) and you will need to find another if she cannot fit you in.. Our recommended seamstress is not employed by us and works independently and we are not responsible if you are not happy with any work she has done.
Collecting your dress
All dresses must be collected from our bridal boutique within 3 months from the time the dress arrives with us. Any dresses not collected within 3 months despite us messaging you to collect will be deemed refused and your dress/dresses will go back up for sale without any money due to you.
It is industry standard that all sales are final, this includes off the rack dresses or ordering to be made brand new. Our wedding dresses are made brand new and specifically for you and fabrics have been purchased and dressmakers paid. Any money paid is non refundable with no exceptions. However once your money is paid you will have 24 hours to cancel the order for a full refund. A cash refund is not possible for change of mind, cancellations, postponements, size changes or not liking a dress once it arrives, NO exceptions.
World events and delays
World events like covid and lockdowns...Unfortunately dresses may be delayed if sudden lockdowns occur, or our couriers are delayed, these matters are out of our hands and we are not responsible or obligated to give you a refund. We will do our very best to make sure you receive your dress on time.
I the bride/bridesmaid have read all terms and conditions of ordering at Carolyn Anne's Bridal and have agreed to the following... I understand that i'm not getting a "Made to Measure" service and that my dress/dresses will need alterations for perfect fit once it arrives. I understand that i am responsible for any size or measurement changes once my dress/dresses are on order and i am responsible for any issues regarding my dress/dresses once removed from the boutique. I Also understand that once my dress has been paid for i'm not entitled to a refund of any monies paid and the full balance must be paid on the scheduled time of 6 months before i receive my dress.
