We have detailed our services below so you know how we work regarding measuring, ordering and lead times. We have also answered some of your frequently asked questions. Please message us if there is anything else you wish to know.
Just to be clear to you, we are the designers of our dresses, NOT the dressmakers so your dress is not made on a full "Made to Measure" basis. Our dressmakers work for us but do not work in house, therefore we do not offer several fittings throughout the dressmaking process or take extensive measurements like on a full made to measure service.
When we measure you, we will take your measurements of Shoulder to floor including shoes, waist, bust and hips at the time of the order to help save you money when it comes to your alterations but again this does NOT mean its a made to measure service. There will be parts of your dress like shoulder straps or the upper neck parts or sleeves that will need a little tweaking once your dress arrives, this is completely normal on dresses not on a "Made to Measure" basis.
Your dress price does NOT include alterations and we are not responsible for any size changes once your dress arrives. We will give you details of a highly recommended seamstress that's local to us who will take care of you for any tweaking or alterations who you pay directly. Please note the seamstress is independent and we do not employ her, we just recommend her. On our normal lead times you will have 16 weeks for your alterations once your dress arrives.
A good time to start looking for your wedding dress is when you are seriously looking to buy your wedding dress. Our lead times to secure your dress is 10 months before your wedding date. We do not advise looking any earlier than 12 months, as there is a risk if you look too soon that some fabrics may get discontinued by the time you do go to purchase your wedding dress. Our wedding dresses take 6 months to be made and you should allow 16 weeks for the seamstress to carry out your alterations.
We will take your measurements 6 months before you want to receive your dress. Please do not mistake us taking your measurements as a "Made to Measure service" (Please see our article above on measuring)
Once your dress arrives 16 weeks before your wedding date, you will come to us for your fitting. You will get to see and try on our dress and we can advice which alterations will be needed for perfect fit. We can recommend a highly recommended seamstress for you if you do not have one.
